Finally! My little princess is born!!! This post will be on her birth story.....
Checkup in the morning on 27th Sept, the EDD is 23rd Sept and she's a overdue baby. Worried and anxious, I asked my gynae for induction. He told me that only 20% will be successful if I were to induce. If it fails, I have to go for caeserian(operation). So I agreed and decided to take the risk instead of waiting for another two days as I think it will still be induction after waiting.
Dr Peter Chew asked me to admit into hospital at 9pm at night. After checkup, I went back home to have my rest, enjoy the aircon in the room, had my durian mooncake, drink as many cold drinks as I can, and bathed before heading out to Gleneagles Hospital. Did all those as I can't have them during my confinement! So gotta enjoy every moment before giving birth. Haha!
Reached hospital with deatrest, mil, his sis and bro. Did some admin stuffs before I was sent to the labour ward. Afterwhich, they went back home without dearest as only Dearest was allowed to be in the labour ward. The nurses came at 10pm, put some pills into me to make my cervix softer so it will dilate.
Contractions start to kick in, but it's just like small menstral cramps. That's when the laughing gas become my best friend, the 'friend' which I can't live without from that moment.
At first, I don't really like the smell and I thought it's gonna be useless. The nurse taught me how to use it, and I began to love it! Just take a deep breathe with it for three times(depends on the duration of the pain) till the pain is gone. Then remove the laughing gas after the pain is gone. It do works for me! But I guess everyone works as well if you know how to use!
To distract my pain, I asked Dearest to bring my camera to me and I played with it. Hahahaha. My mil was saying that I can still play with my camera when inducing. LOLOLOL!
My joker, and my pillar of the day. :) Without him, I really can't do it!
He's with me during the whole process, supporting and encouraging me not to give up. :)
He tried the laughing gas, and he doesn't like the smell for the first time too! But second time, he finds it quite okay. HAHAHAHA. Of cos okay, cos it's my best friend!
Grumpy when it takes so long to dilate!!!
At 8am, Dr Peter Chew came to check how much it dilates and burst my waterbag. Sadly, it only dilates 1cm!!!! Nurses came in and I was on drip(as shown on the photo above).
11am: Nurses came in to check and it only dilates 1.5cm!
Pain gradually become more painful and longer. The time between the contractions are getting shorter. Slowly, I feel like giving up! Like after 3 hours, it only dilates 0.5cm! But when the contractions getting nearer, it dilates faster and it's more painful! That's when I really need the laughing gas a lot!!!
The 'super pain' starts at 12pm. I had the thought of getting epidural or caeserian. Dearest delibrately bring the consent form which tells me what are the side effects of it after birth and it requires my signature as well. He showed the consent form in front of my face, looking at it blurly as my vision was blurred. In the end, I told him no after thinking as I don't wanna have those side effect and it needs another sum of money as well. This 'inspired' me not to get it. :) I told him, "Why not caeserian?" He asked me back, "Really?" And the thought of already having the pain for 3 hours, why not just tahan and go through it. Straight after he asked back, I inhaled in the laughing gas again. LOL!
Dearest was there beside me, calming me down by rubbing his hands on my arms up and down for 4 hours. It really do helps calming me down! But when he stopped rubbing me, I will scold him and shout "摸我!!!(Touch me!!!)". When the pain comes, i will tend to struggle and leading myself to the bottom of the bed with the laughing gas. Dearest have to pull me up when I've no energy to pull myself up. During that time, I was really very drowsy because of the laughing gas as it's like a drug and I don't know what was I doing or talking. Dearest keep telling me, "Jiayou! You can do it!" With his morale support, I managed to go through all these pain.
In addition, I keep screaming in pain until the nurses came in to check! From 1.5cm, it dilates 3-4cm, then 4-5cm, and it's finally 8cm at around 4pm!!! Right after the nurse checked it dilates that far, I told the nurse that I've the pushing feel. The nurse was like having "huh, just checked leh" thought. Lol! Then she checked again, she can see the head! Dearest saw the head too! So immediately she alert Peter Chew and he chiong to the labour ward. Meanwhile he was running to the labour ward, I really cannot tahan and wanted to push. I keep shouting "CANNOT ALREADY!!! SHE'S COMING OUT!!!". The nurses were preparing the things and asked me not to push out. Gotta wait for my gynae to reach before I can push. Inhaled laughing gas hardly, and I keep shouting whenever there's the pushing feel!
The pushing feel is like shitting, but shit a very big and hard baby! Really painful!!! I'm sure that Dearest was even more panic by then! Finally Dr Peter Chew reach, he's like the light of my day. Once he reached, I started to push when he's not even infront of me. They pulled my leg behind two 'planks', and one nurse shouted "1 2 3 PUSHHHHH~". And I pushed witth shouting behind. With shouting, there's not much energy pushed. Dearest asked me not to shout, and I go "MMMMMMMMM" loudly. After 1 min, Baby's head was fully out! Dr Peter Chew pulled the whole baby out and cut her umbilical cord. Nurses announced that baby was born at 4.20pm, and they placed babygirl in front of me on my tummy. :) At the moment, I felt so blissed and happy that I forgot my pain.
The nurses cleaned baby on my tummy while Dr Chew was doing the stitches. Every nurses told me that I pushed very fast, I'm young and able to push, and more. Actually I don't know what they were saying as I'm really tired and blur.
Babygirl was blown with hot air and she expanded as what Dearest told me. Like a amazing!
She's a big baby! Weighing 3.345kg. :) All this 9 months worth it.

All cleaned! :) Dearest pushed babygirl out to give mummy see as she and dajie had reach before I give birth. After he's back, I'm pushed to my ward and babygirl was pushed to the nursery room for some cleaning up.
Rest while my visitors went to have their dinner. Everyone was waiting for babygirl to come back from her cleaning! At 7pm, she's pushed to my ward. So happy to see her. :D

I'm so proud of myself that I've experienced all these pain without epidural. It's tough, but it's all worth it. :)
Lastly, I'm thankful with Dearest around. I'm feel bad as well for those nonsence. But I bet that he's worried sick of me when I'm in pain. I can feel that his heart hurts when I'm in pain. Really! Thanks for being with me without complaining or showing back attitude when I'm in pain. I really need them a lot, especially those encouragements and supports that you showed me. <3 <3
